We are just in the final stages of our tea & biscuit partnership with Heatherslaw bakery – innovative and delicious products, which we will be launching at Speciality Food Show in London this September.
Heatherslaw bakery is a really unique set up. The wheat is grown in North-East England in fields surrounding Heatherslaw water-powered corn mill. In the autumn the grains are harvested and stored in the granary from where it is fed to the massive slowly turning millstones. The beautiful aromatic flour produced from this 150 year old machinery is then taken next door to the bakery. Traditional methods and recipes are then used to combine the flour with top quality ingredients to produce our delicious range of biscuits. I don’t think there is anywhere else in the UK, which uses this complete field to cake process.
