The Blueprint business plan competition has been running for seven years now. Each of the five Universities in the North East run their own individual competitions which then feed into the regional grand final, which I have just taken part in.
There are four categories:
– Creativity and Design
– Business Award
– Science and Technology
– Social and Community Enterprise
We had to hand in our business plans and then present to a panel of judges.
It is a fantastic competition, funded by local businesses. It is a great way of making you sit down and figure out how your business is actually going to work long term and the experience you get presenting and networking is invaluable.
The *TeaShed won the Design and Creativity Award! The cash prize won will be put straight back into the business to develop new ranges, so watch this space… 🙂
Here are a few photos from the presentation night at The Hilton.
A huge thank you to all those involved. In-particularly, the Blueprint Organisers, Northumbria University, RMT Accountants, Sphera Consulting, Particular Pro, Consult Musa and Garbeau. Also a huge well done to Sarah Grant from Warkwear and also Northumbria University who won two awards!!
