Whole Leaf Tea V. ‘Dust-bags’

I decided to do a little experiment to highlight the quality of our teas.

We only use whole leaf tea (the way that tea should be). Most tea brands use what I call dust (or sweepings from the floor) – This is a very low grade of tea.

Boiling water added to both mugs

Due to the smaller surface area (larger leaves), our teas take longer to brew. It is kind of like dust = instant coffee and whole leaf tea = coffee beans – it just takes a bit longer. But good things come to those who wait… 😉

As you can see here, with our teas you can see the base of the mug, whereas the other looks like sludge.

The taste of our teas are clean and refreshing. Because of the quality, you also do not need to add milk to mask some of the taste! But obviously if you like it you can 🙂 I think we have been pushed a poor quality teabag for such a long time that it is coming to the point now where we deserve a better quality brew!

In terms of price of the above teabags, you pay 17.5 pence for one of ours and the dustbag works out at 7 pence. But this is the difference you expect to pay with a quality coffee bean and a jar of instant coffee.

… Plus with ours, you get a paper cup to use! (and then recycle) … meaning you can skip the coffee chains on occasions and use our cup, saving you at least £1.80 plus the quality of our teas are so much better!

I can use each paper cup about 4 times. It is just so much better than a box right?!

Happy tea drinking!
