Shell LIVEWIRE Final 8

Last week we were in London for the finals of the 2012 Shell LIVEWIRE Awards for the Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

On Monday we visited the Houses of Parliament and discussed about how the Government could help young people in business and encourage more people to start their own.

On Tuesday we had a day of interviews and presentations. We did it in the Shell offices down at the River Thames. Such a cool experience. Then on the evening we went to Jamie’s Italian in Covent Garden – LUSH!

Wednesday was a day of networking and talks on the 28th floor at Millbank Tower on the Thames. The views were amazing. The 8 finalists set up our stands and talked to loads of people about our journey so far and gave them advice on how they could also do it.

In the evening it was the awards and we had photos taken with the Chairman of Shell UK, Graham van’t Hoff. We didn’t win but the company who did, really deserved to. It was Oomph Wellness who are improving the care of the elderly in care homes, especially those with dementia, something my Nan had. So Oomph Wellness have a special place in my heart.

Here are some photos…

It was such a mint experience and any one who is under 1 year in business and between the ages of 16-3o  have a look at their website.

Thank you for all your support in getting us to the final!

Lots of Love TS X
